Listen & Download: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis: “Can’t Hold Us” feat. Ray Dalton

Posted by wanderfunk. Comments Off

This is a must-hear. Really great speedy flow by Macklemore who hails out of Seattle. The hook is awesomely powerful with Ray Dalton on the vocals (sounds like John Legend, can’t lie). Lastly, Ryan Lewis’ production on this track leaves you wanting more. Listen!

LISTEN: Game: “Martians vs. Goblins (Feat Lil Wayne & Tyler, The Creator)”

Posted by wanderfunk. Comments Off

I guess a song about martians vs. goblins is a little different from the trend of vampires and zombies and songs about Kanye monsters? Despite my sarcasm, I do likey it. Take a listen and download it at lilwaynehq.com. I’ll make sure not to eat before watching the video as I foresee Tyler having his helping hand in the concept.

Jay-Z and Kanye Video: “Otis” (We waited for this?! WEAK!)

The new album is weak with weak lyrics. I’m disappointed, as I’ve made it known. At least they know how to match a weak video. C’mon!

LMNT: “Never Change” (Video) (…and I Can Do Without the Missing Syllables)

Posted by wanderfunk. Comments Off

Really though, the leaving-out-syllables trend for artist names is starting to annoy me. What if a foreigner comes to check you out and they have no f’in clue how to pronounce your name? Syllables are essential! Hated it.

But I can’t say I hate this song. In fact, I really dig it. Anytime a beat has scratching in it, it tickles my heart. Ahh, the many art forms of hip hop. Anyway, check out the incredibly cute video for LMNT’s song, “Never Change.” His upcoming album We Don’t Belong Here will drop in September. WHAT IN DAH HELL? Kanye and His Hitler Reference

Posted by wanderfunk. Comments Off

What an ass! Even though Kanye may make good music, he’s still a f’in shmuck! When is he going to learn that going on a rant is NOT GOOD FOR BIZNASS? At England’s Big Chill Festival in front of 40,000 fans and during an eight-minute speech of verbal diarrhea about too much bad music and his critics’ scrutiny, Kanye stated, “They couldn’t understand…People look at me like I’m fuckin’ insane, like I’m Hitler. But one day, one day a light will shine through and one day people will understand that everything I ever did, ever said was to throw myself on the blade for the sake of someone else. For the sake of people, For the sake of New Orleans…” blah blah. No, this is not being taken out of context. WHAT?! That actually made no sense.
